The IMU Institute in Stuttgart has pointed out the six key areas for action for companies in the machinery and plant engineering sector.
These six areas and other aspects were taken from the VDMA/McKinsey study of 2014.
The first three areas for action are:
A) Targeted and granular internationalisation and growth strategy
B) Expanding after-sales/service business through integrated, innovative solution offers
C) Standardisation and modularisation while adhering to bespoke offers and new business models
This is exactly where the implementation-oriented DLP projects begin, especially with regard to points B) und C).
